Name calling

A man (a stranger) called me "fatty", right there on the street. I don't want to give him any more of my energy by writing down the whole exchange. I wish I had avoided interacting with this individual entirely. But our paths crossed, and it just sucks that he knew right where to hit.

  1. Arrggh, I had some a@@hole call me Miss Piggy once. I know what you mean by the sting. It's quite pathetic that people have to resort to picking on certain physical features when they are mad or whatever. Obviously he has a lack of vocabulary...loser.

  2. Remember what we tell elementary students, people use name calling when they themselves are insecure. The same applies to adults. I know it doesn't make it right but I am glad you are not wasting your time on it.

  5. @Autumn I totally tried to remember what I would have told the students! Because indeed insults like that totally feel like they strike right at your little kid self. (the adult self too actually)

  7. What a nasty, stinking goaty thing to say. Obviously he did not have a mother like you who taught you better. I'm proud of you for keeping your wits about you, and Abbie is here purring her support and love, too.
